Biography

Tristan is a Consultant Paediatric Cardiologist in the world-renowned cardiac unit at Birmingham Children’s Hospital. He is fully trained in advanced imaging including echocardiography and sees patients from newborns to young adulthood. Tristan is confident in managing a wide range of heart problems in children, including heart murmurs, chest pain, palpitations, and fainting. His philosophy is having a family-centric approach, understanding the needs of both the child and parents, and his clear and empathetic communication is key to his practice. Having young twins himself, he understands the anxiety and stress that comes with being a parent and needing medical care, and for this reason he has been instrumental in setting up the cardiology service at The Vesey Private Hospital.Tristan is passionate about sport, exercise, and cardiac rehabilitation, and has recently finished an MSc in Sport Cardiology from St George’s University London. He can undertake cardiovascular screening to detect potential causes of sudden cardiac death in athletic individuals, young athletes and those involved in competitive sport. With his expertise in paediatric sport cardiology, Tristan has recently been appointed to the English Football Association’s Sport Cardiology Expert Panel.
