I have been working as a Consultant Paediatrician for more than 15 years at Royal Derby Hospital. I completed my undergraduate training in India in 1999. I obtained my Diploma in Child health (DCH) in 2001 and Membership of Royal College of Paediatrics (MRCPCH) in 2002. During my training I worked in leading hospitals in London and East Midlands region and was awarded my Certificate in completion of training in Paediatrics (CCT) in 2008. I have broad experience in Paediatric medicine and special interest in Neonatology. I do General Paediatric clinics where I see children up to 18 years of age with common paediatric problems. In my specialist baby clinics, I follow up preterm babies post discharge from hospital and children up to 2 years of age. I keep up to date with my knowledge by attending regional and national meetings. I am a NLS instructor, and teach my junior doctors, nurses, and midwives in managing newborn emergencies.I am a Royal college examiner for Paediatrics for last 10 years. I was a Training Programme director for East Midlands deanery for 5 years. I am a trustee and conference lead for CHIVA, which is a national charity supporting children with HIV. I have got several publications in reputed journals. I have very good communication skills and I am committed to provide excellent and high quality holistic care to my patients. Being a parent of two young children, I am able to put myself in your shoes as a parent and treat your child with genuine care. I have helped many families navigate through difficult time while dealing with their child's illness which is reflective in my parents' feedback.
Newborn problems - feeding difficulties, poor weight gain, gastro-oesophageal reflux, cow's milk protein allergy, colic, constipation, growth and development problems.
General Paediatric problems - Constipation, diarrhoea, abdominal pain, faints and funny turns, chest infection, urine infection, asthma, allergies and headaches including migraines.
