Evusheld (tixagevimab/cilgavimab) is a treatment made by the pharmaceutical company AstraZeneca. It is given by injection. It is an antibody treatment that can be used to prevent people with blood cancer and other conditions getting covid in the first place. This makes it an important option for people who may not have a had a good response to the covid vaccines.
In October 2022, we were told by AstraZeneca that they have decided to make Evusheld available privately in the UK, effective from 19th October 2022.
