We’ll send you two questionnaires before your appointment. The first lets us know a little more about you and your health. The second will come 48 hours before you see us, and will give us an idea of how your mental health is.
Our health adviser will take you through these health checks. For more information, we have detailed explanations of why we use them.
Height, weight and waist measurements
We’ll check your BMI and body fat percentage to see if you’re under or overweight.
Basal metabolic rate
We’ll look into how your body breaks down the energy you take in.
Estimated energy requirements
The average dietary intake to maintain a healthy lifestyle.
Mental health review
We’ll discuss your wellbeing and see how you’re dealing with stresses or anxiety.
Sleep review
We’ll ask how you’ve been sleeping and see what’s causing poor resting patterns.
Mobility and flexibility
We’ll check how you move with some easy stretching exercises.

Diabetes HbA1c
See the amount of glucose in your blood, or how well your diabetes is being managed.
Comprehensive cholesterol profile
This looks at your levels of cholesterol and other blood fats. Too little or too much can lead angina, stroke and other problems.

We’ll help you set goals for the future and organise any next steps you might need.

After your mental health review, we may recommend more support. If necessary, we’ll discuss any next steps to help.
Goal-setting and lifestyle changes
We'll help you set goals and areas to focus on in your health and wellbeing journey. We use your assessment results and the time with your health adviser to make sure they're tailored to you.
We’ll send you your results and keep supporting your health for a year.
Access to your results
We’ll send you a detailed report of your results that you can see anytime you need to in My Bupa.

After your assessment, you get access to Bupa Be.Me and up to two calls with us. This is to help you to stick to the goals you set and provide further guidance and information.
